Yet more

And finally about the District conference, it is important to acknowledge the generosity of the District for hosting us with such generosity and kindness. As a small token of our appreciation we gave the DG some gifts - candy from Hershey (is there any other!) a woven table runner made down in Southern York county, the banners of our District and the Rotary club of York and our GSE pin with the combined flags of the USA and Argentina.

Thank you DG Gustavo and the wonderful people of your District.

And we were followed by our German friends who also gave a wonderful presentation. One thing they pointed out is that the whole nation of Germany would fill only a small part of this huge country called Argentina.

And they were followed by the team from this District which will be going to Germany on 31 May.  In fact they will travel home with the German team.

And one final note, during the conference we also heard from the 11 students that have been studying here as part of the Rotary Youth Excahange Program. And among these students were three from the US - two from California and one from Wisconsin. They told us that they have had a wonderful year here...and their Spanish was really good. What a wonderful program!
