A few thoughts about the Rotary Clubs we have visited to date

As of today, now almost two weeks into our trip, we have visited four Rotary clubs. Of those four, three of them, including our host club here in 9 de Julio, own their own buildings. And some of these buildings are quite beautiful and large.
The first picture is of 9 de Julio before last evenings meeting and presentation. Both teams were appreciative of the fact that they went to the added trouble of getting both a German flag and the Stars and Stripes for us. Also shown is the sitting area in the club plus they have a library.

But rather then pledge alligence, the practice here is to raise the smaller Argentinian flag which is found on the head table of each club. It is an honor to be asked to raise the flag at the beginning or lower at the end of the meeting and you can see that Annabel ( German team leader) and I were given that honor.
And finally a word of thanks to our hosts today in the Rotary Club of Carlos Casapes. They may be a small club, about 14 members, but they are doing great work in the community. And they new club space is just lovely!
